Foreword
This analysis gives information of the process of
management of the local company in Yogyakarta in doing its business. The
following the analysis written by the group of Unicorn. The analysis can be
used for any purpose.
The analysis is about the management process of Hato
Edutoys. Hato edutoys is a company that produce and distribute education toys
This analysis is produced by the following members of
the Unicorn group: Abisha Hardiaswara, Christoper Situmorang, and Jossmelkr

Profile
A.Name
The name of the company
is Hato Edutoys. So Hato comes from the japanese language of pigeon the Edutoys just the short for education toys
B.Vision
The company have a vision
to become the biggest company that produce education toys that made out of wood
in Indonesia
C.Mission
The mission of the
company is to empowering the traditional wood maker by employ and train them to
make better toys
D.History of the company
The company founded by
two brothers with the name of Hari Supriyadi and Gunawan. The company founded
in 2006 after the earthquake that almost destroy many people home around
Yogyakarta. They think it will be good thing to help the local people by create
a new workspace that can provide local people to have an income to build again
their house that have been damaged by the earthquake.

The Goals of the
company is to make good working condition and make the local people to have

A. Main Business :
The main business in Hato Edutoys is selling an educational toys. This
educational toys made from wood.
B.Main Competitor :
Presently Hato Edutoys have many competitors in this industry. They are
Haula Edutoys and Jean Edutoys, this competitor also selling their educational
toys made from wood.
Currently Hato Edutoys position is still outside the top five. But they
have quite a large number of repeat customers. When compared with companies
that are in the top 5, Hato Edutoys company is no less in terms of revenue.
Hato Edutoys just can't compete in the field supply of goods.
D. Marketing Aspect :
Products, Price, Place, Promotion
Hato Edutoys sells many products that made from wood.
The products are wooden alphabet abacus, wooden puzzles, wooden geometric
sorting board
and etc.
Price of the products start from Rp35.000 - Rp350.000.
The customers of the company usually buy the products in large scale, so it is
difficult to determine the price per product. Mostly people who buy the product
in large scale get additional discount.
The store is located in Perumahan Candi Indah B-3,
Wedomartani, Ngemplak, Sleman, DIY. This store surrounded by houses which the
store of this company is actually a house that is also used as a production
site by the owner.
The promotion strategy in Hato Edutoys uses more email
and tends to be personal because most customers who buy will tell others about
the product so the others will come and buy the product. Actually the way of
promotion used by Hato Edutoys is still very traditional.
E. Operations : production,
operational process, quality assurance, and managing competitiveness
Hato Edutoys is a store that sell Educational toys
doing a collaboration with student activity units in wood sector to make toys
that are not yet finished. Finishing is done separately at Piyungan to measure
quality standards, models and quantities of the products. In Hato Edutoys, the
raw materials are ordered from local wood sellers and monthly the company will
check the quality of wood that has been sent to make sure the company doesn’t
face decreasing in products quality. The company also adjusting the manufacture
of products according to the order quantity.
Hato Edutoys has the same standard operational process
with other stores. Started from those products will be delivered at the right
time in perfect condition to customer house and then asking the customers
properly about what suits to them and what they need. These stuff are creating
value for the company while giving the customer satistaction.
Hato Edutoys has a quality assurance which are analyze
data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system, develop and
recommend also monitor corrective and preventive actions. Prepare reports to
communicate the results of quality activities. Identify training needs and
arrange training interventions to meet quality standards. Training held is carried
out routinely for new products and new employees.
Company managing competitiveness focus in reputations
that make them still survive and growth. A good reputation is known to be
extremely valuable and Hato Edutoys has a good reputation in customer perspective.
Moreover, there is a unique identity that stands out in the minds of customer.
The unique identity is how the company was founded. Hato Edutoys founded when
there was an earthquake happen in 2006 in Yogyakarta, the founder made a toy
for children who are injured at that time.

A.Managerial
Aspect
The management aspect point at a clear and precise
identification of duties and
responsibilities, flow of authority and manpower level requirement. It
must be set up for optimum effectiveness. To achieve this aspect, management have to plan all
activities, for the company to become more productive and competitive in
industry through human resource, financial capability and new technologies
B. Analysist
of The Managerial Ascpect in Hato edutoys
So the managerial aspect of Hato edutoys is start from
the most high position which is director. There is two director in Hato. The
first director task is manage the operational aspect of the company, and the
second director task is to manage the finance aspect of the company. After
director there is four manager. The first manager is the manager of marketing.
The task of marketing manager is to manage the marketing and promotion aspect.
Not only that, the marketing manager has to communicating with the customer.
The second manager is raw material manager. The task of manager of raw material
is to find raw material and ensure the quality of the material. If there is any
bad quality wood, the manager will review it. After that there is the manager
of finishing. The task of finishing manager is to examine the production process
and the final product before the product being distributed. The last manager is
distribution manager. Distribution manager is responsible to manage the
distribution aspect like the shipping of the product.
